The night before

  • Open your CELPIP booking email and read the current instructions.
  • Check the ID rules for your sitting. They come from CELPIP, so trust that, not a forum post.
  • Plan your route and aim to arrive early for check-in.
  • Stop studying by the evening. Look over the task order and your own notes, then rest.

During the test

  • Listening: plan for a single listen unless CELPIP's instructions say otherwise. If you miss something, move on to the next question.
  • Reading: keep moving and answer every question.
  • Writing: save five minutes per task to check your work.
  • Speaking: use the prep time for keywords. If a word goes, describe it and keep talking.

After the test

Results come online in 2 to 4 business days. If a skill is below your target, read results and retakes before you book again.

Questions

What ID do I need?

Use the current instructions from CELPIP for your booking. They can change, so we don't copy them here.

Should I study on the morning of the test?

A quick look at the task order is fine. Learning something new that morning usually just adds stress.
