Picking one
- Want to talk to a person? IELTS.
- Want everyday, real-life tasks on a computer? CELPIP.
- Comfortable with fast, short item types? PTE Core.
The test chooser asks six questions and suggests one.
Comparing scores
The numbers don't line up. CELPIP 7, IELTS 6.0 and PTE Core's own range can all be CLB 7, depending on the skill. Use the CLB calculator for any of the three.
Questions
Can I use CELPIP-General LS for Express Entry?
No. LS is for citizenship. Express Entry needs CELPIP-General.
Why don't you list fees?
They change by city and date, and CELPIP's own pages didn't agree when we checked. Check each provider's site.
